【Abstract】Printawarenessisgreatlysignificanttochildren’sreadingabilitydevelopment.Thispaperprovidesacriticalreviewofdomesticandoverseasliteratureonprintawarenessinconceptclarification,majorresearchmethods,divisionofdevelopmentstages,andmodelsforteaching.Manyresearchersandreadingplansofmanycountriesarepayingspecialattentiontodevelopingchildren’sprintawareness.Studyofdevelopmentfeaturesofpreschoolers’printawarenessandinfluencingfactorsindicatesthatthedevelopmentobviouslyhascertainstages;andinteractiveteachingisanidealmethodcultivatingchildren’sprintawarenessanddevelopingchildren’sreadingability.FutureresearchesshouldfocusontheuniversalityanduniquenessofChinesepreschooler’sprintawarenessandwaysofcultivatingChinesechildren’sprintawarenessneedtobefurtherexplored.
