Thematrixmethodforstructuralanalyseswillbereviewedatthebeginningofthecourse.Thecontentsinclude(1)Stiffnessmatricesoftrussandbeamelements,(2)Evaluationofmemberproperties,(3)Calculationoffixed-end-moments,(4)Staticanalysis,(5)Calculationofmemberforces,and(6)loadingconditions.

2.StructuralanalysesusingMicro-SAP(3weeks)

Thestructuralanalysisprogram,Micro-SAP,willbesuppliedtoteachstudentshowtoperformtwo-dimensionalandthree-dimensionalstructuralanalysesusingtrussandbeamelements.

3.EvaluationoftheinfluencelineusingMicro-SAP(2weeks)

Oneofthemostimportanttopicsofbridgeanalysesistoevaluatetheinfluencelineforabridge.Inthissection,studentswilllearnhowtoevaluatetheinfluencelineofastructureusingMicro-SAP.Theinfluencelineprogram,INFL,ofMicro-SAPincludestheputergraphicsystem.TheparisonoftheinfluencelineplotbetweentheMicro-SAPandtheoreticalanalyseswillbeperformedbystudents.
