Abstract:OnOctober10,2011,theRoyalSwedishAcademyofSciencesawardedtheNobelPrizeinEconomicSciencestoProfessorChristopherA.SimsandProfessorThomasJ.Sargentfortheirworkontheinteractionsbetweenthemacroeconomicpoliciesaswellastheeffectsofsuchpolicies.Thispaperpresentsbriefintroductionstothetwoeconomists,suchastheiracademicexperiences,theiracademicworksandresearchpapers,emphasizingtheresearchmethodandtheiranalyticalframeworkformacroeconomicpolicies,andthedevelopmentandapplicationofthemodelsofrecurrenceandvectorauto-regression.Thisarticleappraisestheiracademiccontributionsbriefly,hopingtofindmoresignificantinspirationsfortheimplementationofmacroeconomicpolicies.
