莎士比亚(1564-1616)生活在封建社会和资本主义社会的转折时期.在所有英国作家中,莎士比亚是世界文学史上极少数里程碑式的人物之一.他的作品也是世界文学史上最伟大的里程碑.《哈姆雷特》是莎士比亚戏剧创作中最杰出的代表,也是其戏剧艺术成熟的标志.该剧以丰富的时代内涵,生动的人物形象,复杂的矛盾冲突以及曲折多变的故事情节,给人们留下深刻的印象,吸引着他们对其不断地进行解读.
本论文旨在从人物性格特征,象征手法,矛盾冲突等方面分析《哈姆雷特》,揭示人文主义理想破灭的必然性.论文共分五个部分阐述.第一部分简要介绍作者生平,写作背景以及故事概况.第二部分详细分析剧中主人公性格特征.第三部分通过对该剧中象征手法运用的分析,反映当时不同层次身份的人物的道德立场和人生观决定他们的最终归宿.第四部分分析代表人文主义的哈姆雷特与现实的矛盾及其复仇的失败.最后一部分是论文的结论.剧中哈姆雷特与克劳狄斯的斗争是新兴资产阶级人文主义者与日趋反动的封建王权代表之间的斗争,反映了文艺复兴时期先进人物为实现美好理想向社会恶势力进行的斗争.作为人文主义者的典型代表,哈姆雷特对人类抱有美好的看法,他相信人类的智慧,高雅和力量.然而,面对罪恶的现实,他所有的人文主义理想都彻底破灭,因而只能以生命的代价换取精神上的胜利.作为时代的缩影,《哈姆雷特》揭示了人文主义理想破灭的必然性.
Abstract
Shakespeare(1564-1616)livedinthetransitionofperiodfromafeudalsocietytoacapitalisticsociety.WilliamShakespearebelongstooneofthoseraregeniusesofthemankindwhohavebeelandmarksinthehistoryoftheworldcultureandwhoseworksisagreatlandmarkinthehistoryoftheworldliterature.Hamlet,oneofthefourgreattragedies,isthemostremarkableworksofShakespeareandalsothemarkofthematurityofhisdramaticarts.Withabundantconnotationofthetime,vividcharacters,plicatedconflictsandvariedstories,Hamletgivesthereaderadeepimpressionandimpressesthemtoappreciateit.
Byananalysisofthehero'scharacter,symbolismandconflictsintheplay,thispaperaimstorevealthatitisdestinedtofailforhumanists.Therearefivepartsinthepaper:Thefirstpartintroducesthebackgroundoftheauthorandthewritingandsummarizesthestory.Thesecondelaboratesthehero'scharacters.Bytheobservationofthesymbolism,thethirdpartreflectsthatdifferentindividualsrepresentdifferentmoralpositionsandviewsoflife,whichleadtotheirdestinies.ThefourthchapterexaminestheconflictbetweenHamlet,asymbolofhumanismandthereality,aswellasthefailureofhisrevenge.Thelastpartistheconclusion.ThestrugglebetweenHamletandClaudiusrepresentsthatbetweentheemergingcapitalhumanistsandfeudalreactionaryforce,whichreflectstheconflictbetweentheadvancedpeopleandevilforceinRenaissance.Beingatypicalrepresentativeofhumanism,Hamlethasahopeformankind,andhebelievesinman'swisdom,eleganceandstrength.Butinthefaceofthereality,allofhishumanismisdestroyed.Intheend,
