对中国电影产业在未来的发展中应该采取何种市场营销策略以及如何应对外国电影进军中国市场所带来的影响提出建议和意见.

Abstract:Basically,thisdissertationisgoingtomakeananalysisontheissueofChina’sfilmindustry.Itgenerallyincludesfourchapters.Firstofall,ChapterOnewillgiveabriefreviewofthedevelopmenthistoryofChina’sfilmindustry.Then,ChapterTwowilldiscussthevaryingMacroEnvironmentofChina’sfilmmarketinpasttwodecades.ChapterThreewillconsiderthepropermarketingstrategythatshouldbeimplementedasaneffectivedirectioninthedevelopmentofChina’sfilmindustry.Finally,ChapterFourwilltalkabouttheimpactanddevelopmentprospectsofWTOentryonChina’sfilmindustry.

Essentially,thisdissertationisaimtoacplishmainlythreeoutes:

*TogiveabriefintroductionaboutthepastandpresentsituationsofChina’sfilmindustry,

*TorevealtheproblemsandchallengesthatexistingincurrentChina’sfilmindustry,

*Topresentsomeremendationsontheaspectsofmarketingmunications,petingwithforeignpetitorsandfurtherdevelopmentinthefuture.

Methodology

Thewritingofthisdissertationistotallybasedonsecondaryresearches.Allthematerials,figures,tablesandtheoriesthatsupportcontributionstothisdissertationareoriginallyfromtheinter,andbooksinlibrary.

Introduction

Whenattemptingtounderstandtheevolutionhistoryofthefilmindustryinanycountry,itisalwaystruetorememberthatcinemais“aculturalpractice”.Thus,“thedifferentdimensionsofcinemaartistic,mercial,industrial,technological,political,andideologicalarevitallyinterconnected”.“Theplexwaysinwhichfilm-makers,theaudience,officialdom,critics,andcustodiansoftasteandindustrialistsinteractmeritveryclosestudy”.

Inthepastcentury,China’sfilmindustryhaswitnessedmanyhistoricalchanges,suchastheingandgoingartistictrends,theriseandfallofrelatedbusiness,aswellastheprogressandretrogressionexperienced.Assignificantastheyare,thesechangeswhichcanbeviewedasthemilestonesindifferentperiodsinthedevelopmenthistoryofChina’sfilmindustryalwaysareworthytobeanalyzedclosely.Thewayofhowthedimensionsmentionedaboveinteractalsoinvitesseriousstudy.Consequently,thisdissertationwillpresentananalysisonChina’sfilmindustrywhichisonthebasisoftheseprinciples.

Chapter1:ABriefReviewofTheDevelopmentHistoryofChina’sFilmIndustry

On11August1896,“WesternShadowplay”wasfirstintroducedatYouyicunofXuGardens,ateahouseforvariousentertainmentsinShanghaibyaFrenchShowman.Itismarkedasthebeginningoffilm’sentranceinChina.Sincethen,thedoorforenterChina’sfilmmarketwasopenedgraduallytotheWestthroughthediverseteahousefilmshowsinShanghai.However,notjustforeignbusinessmenhadrealizedthepotentialfinancialbenefitsfromattractingChineseaudiencesthroughnewlyimportedWesternshadowplays,Chineselocalindustrialistsalsoconsideredfilmsasaprofit-makingventure.Thefirstattemptatfilm-makingnationallywasConqueringJunMountainintheautumnof1905,whichcanbeviewedastheofficialbirthofChineseCinema.

Bringingtotheforeground,theChinesefilmindustrydidnotbeginuntil1913whenthefirstChinesemovieTheDifficultCouplewasshotbyZhengZhengqiuandZhangShichuanwithforeignfundsandtechnology.In1931,China’sfirst“talkie”TheSongstress,RedPeonywasproducedbytheStarStudio,whichwasthefirstfilmproductionstudioinChinaestablishedbytheCommercialPressin1923.

Toattractaudiences,inDecember1907,therebuildingofBeijingGrandTheaterwaspletedandbegantoshowmovies.Inthesameyear,thefirstChinesemoviecinema,Ping’anCinema,wasestablishedinBeijingbyforeigninvestors.AccordingtothereportsoftheMinistryofCommercialAffairsofUnitedStates,intheyearof1926,therewere26cinemasinShanghaibecauseofthepopularityofbothdomesticandforeignfilms.Attheendof1930s,thenumberreached36.

Duringtheperiodfromearly1930sto1937,China’sfilmindustryhasbeenexperiencedanimportanteventwhichwascalledtheNewFilmMovement.Althoughlastingforonlyafewyears,itwasextremely“invogue”atthattimeandhasmadesignificantcontributionstothewholeChinesesociety.Differentfromthefilmsinthe1920s,mostoftheworksproducedthensoughtforstepoutofthenarrowrestrictionsofethicsissuesandfamilytrifles,andturnedtofocusonthedarksideofthesociety.Thefilmscourageouslyexposedthehideousproblemsthatpeoplewereconfrontingaswellasexpressedthewi
